5. The number of packing rings is insufficient, and the gland is not pressed tightly.

6, gland, bolts and other parts damaged, so that the gland can not be pressed;

7, improper operation, excessive force and so on;

8, the gland is skewed, the gap between the gland and the stem is too small or too large, resulting in the wear of the stem and the damage of the packing. Prevention and removal methods:

1, materials and types of fillers should be selected according to working conditions.

2. The packing should be installed correctly according to the relevant regulations. The packing should be placed and pressed in circles one by one, and the joint should be set at 30 or 45 degrees Celsius.

3, the use of too long, aging, damaged fillers should be replaced in time.

4, the stem should be straightened and repaired after bending and wearing, and should be replaced in time for serious damage.

5. The packing should be installed according to the specified number of rings, the cover should be symmetrically and evenly tightened, and the sleeve should have a pre-tightening clearance of more than 5mm.

6, damaged gland, bolts and other components should be repaired or replaced in time.

7, observe the operation rules, operate at constant speed and normal force except for the impact handwheel.

8. The cap bolt should be tightened symmetrically and evenly. If the gap between cap and stem is too small, the gap should be increased appropriately; if the gap between cap and stem is too large, it should be replaced.
